Information for contributors
The minimum rates paid for contributions to Island are:
- Poems $60
- Short stories $100
- Articles and reviews $100 per 1000 words.
Guidelines for contributors
Submissions must be typed with double spacing, preferably on A4 paper with letter-quality print rather than dot matrix. Please write on only one side of the page, with a wide margin at left and right, and with a name and address on each page.
Manuscripts must be accompanied by a stamped self-addressed envelope. No responsibility can be accepted for the loss or damage of any contribution, although every care is taken.

for four issues per year:
- Within Australia:
Individuals $46 (Concession: $29)
Institutions $57.
- Overseas:
Individuals $60,
Institutions $70.
Back issues of Island are for sale for $8 each.
