Special Antarctic issue

As part of the launch of the Ice Cold Words Festival, a special Antarctic issue of Island (issue 105) was launched by Sir Guy Green, on Friday, 23 June 7.30 p.m. in the Peacock Theatre, Salamanca Arts Centre, Hobart.

At the occasion, Robert Jarman and others performed a unique Antarctic presentation, and Tim Bowden chaired a panel of writers and scientists discussing life in Antarctica. Hobart Bookshop currently has a selection of the many fascinating books about Antarctica on display (ph: +61 3 6223 1803).
